Fritted Disc Screen - 3 pcs
This is a 3-piece set of fritted disc glass screens, a drop-in accessory that traps ash and debris before it reaches your water. Each disc is a flat pane of fused borosilicate covered in ultra-fine porosity, so it filters at a much finer level than a pinched or single-hole screen. Set one inside a slide (bowl) or between a male joint and a matching female adapter, and the disc catches fine particulate that would otherwise pass through, keeping the rest of your piece cleaner over time.
Because the diffusion is so fine, expect more draw resistance than an open screen and plan to clean the disc regularly. Fine porosity clogs faster than coarse openings, and a clogged disc restricts airflow, so a quick soak between uses keeps it drawing well. These are screens, not vapor or diffusion stones, and they are not designed for any other use.
What's in the box: three fritted disc screens. Small accessories can settle into the bubble wrap, so check the packaging thoroughly before assuming a piece is missing. As with all borosilicate, avoid thermal shock: let the glass reach room temperature before heating or cooling, and never torch the screen directly. Thermal-shock and drop damage are not defects.
