(CMTO) TAG - Matrix Ash Catcher 44x4MM (18MM Male to 18MM Female)
The TAG Matrix Ash Catcher adds a full stage of filtration to an 18MM water pipe without loading down the joint. Its matrix perc splits the draw across a grid of slits, breaking the air into a wall of fine bubbles that cool and diffuse before the pull ever reaches the pipe itself. The result is a smoother draw and a cleaner tube, since the ash catcher takes on the debris that would otherwise end up in your base.
The joint is decoded plainly: an 18MM MALE end drops into your pipe's 18MM female joint, and the 18MM FEMALE end up top accepts an 18MM male slide. Match the joint ANGLE to your pipe so the ash catcher sits upright rather than leaning. It is built on a 44MM diameter tube with 4MM walls, thick enough for real daily use. Because a matrix runs multiple slits, expect a touch more drag than an open perc and clean it regularly to keep the slits clear. Note that heavier ash catchers add leverage at the joint, so a lighter pipe can be tipped or stressed by one.
This is a CMTO (custom made-to-order) piece, so it is built to order rather than shipped from stock. Avoid thermal shock: let glass reach room temperature before running hot or cold, and never torch the glass.
